A little clarity on privacy.
Purrvio’s preview works with local agent information on your Mac. Here’s what that means.
Preview privacy notes · 28 October 2026
What the app reads
Purrvio scans running processes to recognize supported agent tools. For Claude Code and Codex, it reads available local session records to show information such as your project, branch, task, latest update, activity, input requests, and usage. Some of that information can contain sensitive project or conversation content.
The preview does not send this session information to a Purrvio server. It does not require a Purrvio account or a model API key. Your agent tools have their own data handling practices.
What stays on your Mac
Preferences, saved templates, terminal-session links, and usage history are stored locally. Some storage paths retain the original AgentManager name so existing information continues to work. Logs for agents you launch through the app may also be stored locally.
The app can display project and task information in the notch and notifications. Keep that in mind when sharing your screen.
Permissions and controls
Device Control and Data Access (called Accessibility on earlier macOS releases) lets Purrvio read live text from the selected Ghostty terminal for paired iPhones. Automation permission lets Purrvio focus supported terminals and send input you choose to submit. Full Disk Access can make protected files readable. System notification permission is optional. You can change these permissions in macOS settings.
Purrvio also offers process controls, such as stopping and restarting an agent. These act locally when you choose them.
This website
The landing page serves its own scripts and images and includes no advertising or third-party tracking scripts. Remote conversion measurement is not enabled. Interaction events remain in page memory for development and are cleared when you leave. It does not have an email signup form or collect payment details. The hosting platform may process technical request information and use cookies for its own hosting or access controls.
Downloads are ordinary file requests to the site. Links to Apple’s documentation take you to a separate site with its own privacy practices.
